They began importing Meerschaum for their filters from Tanzania which is where they got their inspiration for the name. The company was sold to Kohlhase and Kopp in 2019 and their products are still made in the same factory in Ettenstatt where a few artifacts of the old machines are still stored. Kohlhase & Kopp’s commitment to quality and their innovative approach to blending have solidified their reputation in the market, making them a staple in the collections of many pipe smokers around the world.
