White Elephant White Elephant started life as a small independant producer of Briar pipes back in 1945 in Bavaria. They began importing Meerschaum for their filters from Tanzania which is where they got their inspiration for the name. The company was sold to Kohlhase and Kopp in 2019 and their products are still made in the same factory in Ettenstatt where a few artifacts of the old machines are still stored. Kohlhase & Kopp’s commitment to quality and their innovative approach to blending have solidified their reputation in the market, making them a staple in the collections of many pipe smokers around the world.

White Elephant Etosha The White Elephant Etosha is a Danish style pipe tobacco named after the national park in Namibia which is home to hundreds of species of mammals, birds and reptiles, including several threatened and endangered species such as the black rhinoceros. The Etosha blend is an exotic blend that offers a journey through Africas tastes and traditions. Combining Broken Virginia, Black Cavendish and Burley into a harmonious blend, refined by an exotic aroma of Marula liquor. The Marula fruit, highly prized in parts of Africa, especially in the Ovambo regiojn, imparts a tart, refreshing flavour. When processed into liquor, it unfolds into a slightly fruity, caramelly aroma that complements the excellent tobacco blend.
