The problem with a piece of sponge is you can't easily control level of humidity. A very damp sponge will add a lot of humidity and a drier sponge will add a little so you constantly have to monitor the humidity. The Water Pillows contains some magic crystals that regulate the humidity of the air. Simply soak the pouch in water until the crystals swell into a gel. Shake off any excess water and place the pouch inside your Humidor or chosen container. If the humidity drops below 70% the crystals will release moisture, which will keep your tobacco in perfect condition until the pouch has fully dried up. Then simply re-soak and re-use.
