Snuff has a short shelf life so if a blend does not turnover quickly we de list it from our portfolio to guarantee the only snuff we sell is fresh and flavoursome. Here at The Black Swan Shoppe we are very passionate about the quality of our products. Even in vacuum sealed tins Snuff has a short shelf life. If any is sat on our shelves more than 2 months we dispose of it to ensure our customers only receive the freshest. Other retailers say we are daft doing this as it SHOULD be fine for over a year but we don't take the risk. Unfortunately after monitoring this snuff for a few months we are disposing of more snuff than we are selling so we have taken the reluctant decision to delist this from our range. This snuff is past the 2 month date but it should be fine for many months to come.

BUY BRITISH Samuel Gawith's produce some of the finest English Snuffs on the market, which are highly sort after worldwide. Their snuffs are ground the traditional way using the original machinery, which was bought in 1792 from King George the third who had originally used the machinery for grinding gun powder.

The machinery is now well and truly seasoned for tobacco production adding more character to the snuff than the machines used by the global snuff manufacturers. The rest of Samuel Gawiths Snuff production is then carried out by hand including the grading, sieving and scenting according to Bob Gregory's secret recipes using bottled scents that are hundreds of years old and irreplaceable. Unfortunately some of the scents are threatened with extinction as the recipes have been that closely guarded nobody has a clue what's in them.

Samuel Gawith Yellow Crest Snuff The Samuel Gawith's Yellow Crest snuff blend is a Medium to dry snuff of Medium Grind with a unique grassy aroma, which could easily be compared to that wonderful aroma that hits you in the face as you walk into a stable block. A nice discreet scent that does not overpower the wonderful natural flavour that come from the high grade tobacco's that have made Samuel Gawith snuffs so desirable.
