Peterson Walnut 408 Spigot Peterson Spigots are notoriously rare and usually take pride of place in any collection. The Spigot evolved on the front lines as soldiers repaired their pipes with spent cartridges. Peterson evolved this into hallmarked sterling silver band and tapered fitting on the stem of a high grade pipe. The Briar on this pipe has been specially chosen for it's exceptional grain pattern which runs vertically from the heel up the bowl which is then highlighted with the warm walnut finish. The 408 is a straight briar with a generously sized, apple shaped bowl. It has a thick wall, with a deep bowl and large bore. The Apple shape is one of the most popular bowl shapes as the shape is more comfortable in the hand. The deep bowl makes for a versatile pipe as the fill can be varied for a short satisfying smoke or a long intense fireside session.
Fishtail mouthpiece: The standard mouthpiece for most pipe manufacturers. The fishtail has the exit hole in the end of the mouthpiece. The end of the mouthpiece is flat, which some people find easier to grip, and suits the smoker who doesn’t get on with the p.lip style.
ONE OFF PIPE: This is a one off pipe and the pipe in the picture is the exact pipe you will receive. Please not that colour varies depending on your computer monitor and may not replicate the colour exactly.
