Peterson Seasoned Briar: Well they don't come much rarer than the aged collection. This time your favourite tobacconist has managed to source something really special from Peterson. From what we understand there are less than 50 of these produced worldwide as a one off production. You may well recognise some of the shapes as these are former production models. Whenever Peterson produce a limited edition pipe they keep a small stock of shaped high grade bowls in case of flawed pipes that need replacing under warranty. As you would expect Peterson don't have to cover many warranties so these are kept surplus in the back of the factory. In 2013 one of the pipe carvers noticed these bowls nicely ageing in the warehouse and decided they should be used for something special.
Peterson Half Bent Panel 02: This one should stand out to the keener eyed Peterson collectors out there as these bowls were shaped for truly unique 2011 pipe of the year. We therefore know the high grade Briar has been seasoning for at least 3 years before being sandblasted to enhance the grain pattern and the nickel band was added. The shape is very striking and shows every aspect of the grain with an almost mirrored effect. As the varying cuts dissect the bowl from a different angle you benefit from every aspect of the grain pattern as they are displayed in a way that simply can't be seen from a standard rounded briar. From the uniformed blemished bullseye to a uniformed straight grain you get it all.
Fishtail mouthpiece: The standard mouthpiece for most pipe manufacturers. The fishtail has the exit hole in the end of the mouthpiece. The end of the mouthpiece is flat, which some people find easier to grip, and suits the smoker who doesn't get on with the p.lip style.
