Dunhill White Spot Waterloo Bruyere Collector's Edition: Three very exclusive Battle of Waterloo pipes have been specifically created and manufactured to remember the 200th anniversary of the battle and to celebrate the victory at the Battle of Waterloo on 18 June 1815. These are very exclusive and must be one of the most impressive Collectors series we have set eyes on to date The pipe and tamper are impressive enough alone but as you'd expect from Dunhill they have really pushed the boat out with exquisite presentation. On opening the Leather bound case you are presented with a Suede padded pillow embossed with "The battle of Waterloo 1815 and the White Spot Logo. When removed the Pipe, Tamper and Certificate of Authenticity are revealed, housed in a fitted Velvet case. This can be removed to reveal the hard back copy of "Waterloo, the decisive victory" by Peter Snow

Pipe: The Battle of Waterloo pipe is an elegant Quaint shape in size group 4. This shape has shape specially made for this edition and has never been produced by Dunhill before. The pipes have semi-bevel rims and are fitted with precious metal bands engraved with the inscription The Battle of Waterloo and 1815 - 2015.

Tamper: The pipe tamper is shaped as a cannon of the period, with its main body cast from solid Sterling Silver. What gives those pipe tampers indeed historic importance is that the Cascabel (knob) and Breech of the cannon tampers are made from pig iron that was recast from an original French 12-pounder cannon ball from the Waterloo battle field.

The deformed cannon ball was found buried into the Waterloo battle field ground in 1979 by a French metal detectorist and as subsequently purchased by the director of Alfred Dunhill’s White Spot division in 2012 in anticipation of this project.

Presentation: The highly collectable Battle of Waterloo editions are housed in a prestigious midnight blue leather box of generous dimensions. The lid bears the relief busts of the three generals – Feldmarschall von Blücher, the Duke of Wellington and Napoléon Bonaparte. The pipe, the tamper and the certificate are presented in a removable tray.

Hard Back Book: Furthermore, each set is accompanied by the hardcover book ‘Waterloo – The decisive Victory” edited by Colonel Nick ipscombe, which has been integrated with its slip case under the removable tray in the base of the presentation box. Each set is accompanied by its numbered and hand-signed limited edition certificate.
