Dunhill White Spot Magna Carta Shell Briar Collector's Edition: One of the most important documents in world history, The Magna Carta or "The Great Charter" celebrates its 800th Anniversary (1215-2015) and constitutes one of the most fundamental building blocks of the British constitution, it established the principle that everybody, including the king, was subject to the law for the first time in British history. The Magna Carta was authenticated on the 15th of June 1215 at Runnymede, on the River Thames, by King John of England using the Great Royal Seal. It is a common misconception that it was signed by King John, however the King possibly couldn’t write. It is unknown how many copies were drawn up originally, but four copies survive today; Lincoln Cathedral, Salisbury Cathedral and two at the British Library, London. On opening the cream leather bound case, which has been specially chosen to reflect the parchment paper the document was written on you are presented with a Suede padded pillow embossed with the White Spot Logo. When removed the Pipe, Tamper and Certificate of Authenticity are revealed, housed in a fitted Velvet case. This can be removed to reveal the hardback copy of "Magna Carta, The making and legacy of the Great Charter" by Dan Jones.

Pipe: The Magna Carta pipe is a classic Billiard shape in size group 4, is fitted with a solid silver band engraved with "Magna Carta 1215-2015"

Tamper: Accompanying the pipe is a beautifully crafted 84g Sterling Silver tamper, which resembles the Great Royal Seal used by King John of England to authenticate the Magna Carta in 1215.

Hard Back Book: Furthermore, each set is accompanied by the hardcover book ‘Magna Carta - the Making and Legacy of the Great Charter” by Dan Jones has been integrated with leather holders in the lid of the box. Each set is accompanied by its numbered and hand-signed limited edition certificate.
