Peterson Rosslare Royal Irish Series: The Peterson Rosslare is one of those iconic pipes that every smoker drools over in the catalogue, with a “one day i’ll treat myself” in the vain hope that their partner’s ear wigging and will buy it for them. If there was a Pipe that should go on the Irish flag it would surely be the Rosslare. Many pipemakers try and mimic it’s style but nobody gets it quite as good as Peterson. There are a few finishes in the Rosslare collection, the Royal Irish smooth is the flagship model made using the higher grade of Briar with very few flaws. It is a premium Briar finished with a light stain to enhance the natural grain pattern. Truly stunning!
Royal Irish vs Classic: Many get confused with the Rosslare series. The Royal Irish uses a premium grade of bowl selected for it's superior grain and is finished with a 925 Silver army military mount.
Peterson 999 Shape: The Peterson Rosslare 999 is a half bent briar pipe, with instantly recognisable styling. The Bulldog shape has two grooves around the peak of the taper. It is almost apple shaped, which makes for a comfortable hold and tapers more towards the base. The two grooves as-well as being attractive increase the surface area at the thickest part of the bowl, helping the bowl cool in the same way as a car radiator. This in turn helps keep the smoke cool throughout the pipe. The pattern on the stem is unique to every pipe and varies considerably so every pipe is a one off and will not be exactly as pictured.
Fishtail mouthpiece: The standard mouthpiece for most pipe manufacturers. The fishtail has the exit hole in the end of the mouthpiece. The end of the mouthpiece is flat, which some people find easier to grip, and suits the smoker who doesn’t get on with the p.lip style.
ONE OFF PIPE: This is a one off pipe and the pipe in the picture is the exact pipe you will receive. Please not that colour varies depending on your computer monitor and may not replicate the colour exactly.
