Unfortunately Scandinavian Tobacco has taken the decision to de-list this tobacco from the UK market. We know this is going to send numerous fans into mourning but the decision is out of our hands. The closest tobacco you will find to it on the UK market is the Dunhill De-Luxe Navy rolls. As always we have left the description here for historical reference and interest.
Orlik is one of the largest pipe tobacco manufacturers in the world. Alongside their own extensive range they also blend tobacco's for many other leading tobacco brands. When British American Tobacco de-listed the Dunhill De-Luxe Navy Rolls, Orlik introduced the Orlik Bulls eye as a direct re-placement. They produce the Dunhill tobacco under licence from BAT so knew the recipe and supposedly copied it exactly with one omission to escape copyright infringement. We never heard a single complaint from the mourning Dunhill smokers so now Dunhill has been re-listed what do we think will happen? Will you buy the fancy Dunhill branded tin or stay with the Orlik? We wait with baited breath.
The Bulls Eye is a an exquisite, medium strength, Roll cake, with a raw tobacco flavour. It is produced using a delicate blend of Dark and Bright matured Virginias with a good helping of the highly desirable Louisiana Perique which have been spun around a tight core of Black Cavendish. No fancy casings or top dressings here, let the tobacco do the talking.
Roll Cake/Curly Cut: The Orlik Bulls Eye comes in roll cake form. The sliced discs can be smoked as they are, mixed with some ready rubbed or can be rubbed to the smokers preference depending on the desired burn rate. Twist tobacco is often matured. All though this adds depth of flavour and character it can be over powering for the less experienced.
