San Cristobal De La Habana Cigars: San Cristobal de La Habana is a relatively new cigar brand in Cuba, having been introduced in 1999. However, the history of the name San Cristobal goes back to the early days of Cuba's cigar industry. San Cristobal de La Habana was named after the city of Havana's patron saint, Saint Christopher (San Cristobal in Spanish). Saint Christopher was a revered figure among the early settlers of Havana, and his name was used for many local landmarks, including the city's main fortress, the Castillo de San Cristobal. In the mid-19th century, a cigar factory called El Crepusculo began producing cigars under the name San Cristobal. The brand became popular and was eventually acquired by the tobacco company Alonso Menendez, which later merged with the Partagas company. In the 1990s, Cuba's tobacco industry was facing increasing competition from other countries and needed to revitalize its image. As part of this effort, the Habanos SA company decided to create a new cigar brand that would pay homage to Havana's rich cigar-making history. They chose the name San Cristobal de La Habana to honor the city's patron saint and its long tradition of cigar-making. The first San Cristobal de La Habana cigars were introduced in 1999 and were an immediate success. The brand's popularity was helped by the fact that it was one of the few new Cuban cigar brands to be launched in the post-revolutionary era. The cigars are known for their rich, complex flavors and are made using tobacco from the Vuelta Abajo region, which is considered the best tobacco-growing region in Cuba. Today, San Cristobal de La Habana is one of the most popular Cuban cigar brands, with a loyal following of cigar enthusiasts around the world.

Prado Cigars The San Cristobal Prado is a premium cigar that is highly regarded among cigar enthusiasts for its rich, complex flavor profile and exquisite construction. This cigar is named after the famous boulevard that runs through Havana's historic center, known for its vibrant energy and stunning architecture. The San Cristobal Prado is hand-rolled by expert Cuban cigar rollers, using only the finest tobacco leaves from the Vuelta Abajo region. This region is known for its rich, fertile soil, which produces tobacco with exceptional flavor and aroma. The wrapper is a beautiful, oily, reddish-brown color that is silky smooth to the touch. When lit, the San Cristobal Prado produces a thick, creamy smoke that fills the air with a tantalizing aroma of roasted coffee, cedar, and hints of dark chocolate. As the cigar progresses, the flavors become more pronounced, with notes of earth, leather, and a subtle sweetness that lingers on the palate. The San Cristobal Prado is a medium-bodied cigar that is smooth and well-balanced, making it a great choice for both novice and experienced cigar smokers. The construction is flawless, with a perfect draw that allows the smoke to flow easily through the cigar, ensuring an enjoyable smoking experience from start to finish. Overall, the San Cristobal Prado is a magnificent cigar that embodies the rich history and tradition of Cuban cigar-making. Its exceptional flavor, impeccable construction, and elegant presentation make it a must-try for any cigar aficionado.

Cellophane Wrapped: The Macanudo Cigars are a premium hand rolled Cigar which need storing at the correct humidity to prevent them from drying out and losing flavour. We therefore recommend transferring them to a humidor on receipt. They are however individually wrapped in cellophane so if you do not have the luxury of a humidor they should be okay for about a good week if kept in a cool dark place. You can also store them for a few weeks in a sealed container or a full wrapped bundle but it is generally advisable to allow your cigars to breathe.

Preparation: Please note the Macanudo are a hand rolled Cigar and therefore require cutting before the cigar can be enjoyed.
