The Gawith Hoggarths Kendal Black Cavendish is a straight dark Virginia that has been cooked under pressure for several weeks which reduces some of the stronger elements of the tobacco while bringing out the ambundance of natural sugars from the Virginia. Black Cavendish is often used as a base for the majority of aromatic tobaccos as it provides a smooth, slow burning cool smoke and adds natural sweetness without the need for over casing. Many smokers enjoy Cavendish on it's own but it makes an ideal companion to any overly light tobacco when tongue bite is a problem or the burn rate needs reducing.
