Falcon Coolway 103 The Falcon Coolway No.103 is a classic full bent apple briar pipe with a saddle stem. Slightly shallower than the 21 for a lighter option with thicker walls for a more robust pipe. The Apple shaped bowl is arguable the most comfortable bowl shape and the thickness of the briar wall is thickest at the point where a pipe overheats most helping to keep the pipe cool. A cooler pipe will smoke sweeter, cooler and smoother. Bent stems are generally more popular and it’s not solely down to Sherlock Holmes. The exaggerated curve gives the smoke longer to cool down and the exaggerated curve naturally forms condensation, which helps remove moisture and impurities from the smoke.
