Dunhill Tobacco of London In 1907 Alfred Dunhill opened a small tobacconist shop on Duke Street in the St James area of London. He offered tobacco blends tailored for the individual customer. In 1908 he introduced the first Dunhill cigarette. Then in the 1930's Dunhill saw success distributing Dunhill branded Cuban cigars such as Don Candido and later the Don Alfredo. After Cuban production ceased the brands history becomes a little convoluted and production moved to the Canary islands, and later to the Dominican Republic and Honduras which is where the Heritage line has been produced.
Dunhill Heritage Robusto Collection With prestigious awards from the leading industry magazines, Cigar Aficionado and Cigar Journal. With the Robusto being awarded the top 10 and top 18 cigar of the year respectively, Dunhill cigars have celebrated this great success by bringing a limited edition range to the market. With 3x Robusto Flagtail 3x Short Robusto 3x Robusto and 3x Double Robusto in a limited numbered humidor box. The blend is a Honduran filler, Nicaraguan Binder all expertly wrapped in an Ecuadorian Habano Ligero Wrapper. A rich flavourful full strength cigar with notes of cedar, pepper, leather, nutmeg and caramel cashews.
Loose Cigars: The Dunhill Robusto Cigars leave the factory packaged loose in a Cedar lined box. This helps the cigars to develop and flavours to diffuse. They are stored in our humidors until dispatch and ideally should be transferred directly into a humidor. If you are buying them for a special occasion they should keep for up to a week in a cool, dark place.
Hand Rolled: The tradition of being rolled on a maiden's thigh can be questioned but the added quality a cigar beholds from being hand rolled by an experienced Cigar Roller cannot. Each cigar is rolled to the same density with full length filler (leaves), providing the perfect draw and ash build up, which cannot be matched by a machine.
Preparation: Please note the Dunhill Robusto cigars require cutting or punching before they can be enjoyed.
