A Single Loose Hand Rolled Cigar
Drew Estate Cigars: Born in 1996 the Drew Estate is a relatively new Cigar brand yet are now one of, if not the largest producers of premium hand-rolled cigars in the world with worldwide admiration. And this isn’t down to fat cat boys with big pockets marketing a brand to success. Drew Estate was born in 1996 by Jonathan Drew & Marvin Samel with great passion, vision, aspiring dreams, and a “can-do” attitude. The two frat brothers started out small.... small, as in a 16 square foot retail kiosk in the World Trade Center in NYC with a bank account running on fumes. In late 1999 Jonathan Drew moved to Estelí, Nicaragua with the hopes of starting a rebirth in the cigar world. The norm for new companies would be to outsource their Cigar rolling but they wanted to do it their own way (not the easy way) and with a handful of rollers and an even smaller handful of money, the story of “That Crazy Gringo” began. In as little as 2 years the drew estate had grown to epic proportions and captured the attention of Forbes magazine who did an article called Cult Brands and included Drew Estate alongside such brands as Krispy Kreme, Apple & Harley Davidson! Today the passion is still strong as they have built a family within the company who all devote great passion to making the finest and most characterful Cigars in the world.
Liga Privada Unica Serie Cigars: Translated to English, “Liga Privada” means “private blend.” It is the perfect name, as this cigar was originally crafted without any intention of releasing them to the general public. In the ongoing creation of the Liga Privada line, hundreds of different, distinct blends and vitolas are crafted in their endless search for the perfect smoke. Most samples are dismissed with only a rare, select few being deemed worthy, but, due to limitations, most of these blends cannot be made into their own stand-alone line. With this in mind, they have created the Liga Privada Unico Serie – a home for these unique ones. All of the cigars within this series are not only different in size and blend, but they are extra special, extremely limited and exceptionally delicious.
Loose boxed: Drew Estate Cigars are packaged loose in a Cedar lined Box The cigars are kept in our humidors until dispatch and preferably should be stored in a humidor as soon as you receive them. If you are planning on smoking them within a couple of weeks the cigars should be okay as long as they are kept sealed in a cool dark place.
Stalk Cut Most cigar tobacco is primed, meaning it is picked two or three leaves at a time starting at the bottom of the plant. With stalk-cut tobacco, the entire plant is cut at the stalk and hung upside down to cure on the stalk. This allows a slower curing time as the tobacco still feeds off the stalk and brings out more earthy flavours within the tobacco.
Preparation: Please note the Drew Estate are premium hand-rolled cigars and therefore require cutting or punching before they can be enjoyed.
