Unfortunately we can no longer source any of these useful table lighter replacement inserts. We have left this description here for historical interest and reference and hopefully one day we shall be able to find another supply.
Just as table lighters are coming back into fashion and becoming collectable they are starting to appear on car boots and well known online auctions. The problem being that when you get home and try fill one, the gas escapes out of the bottom. This is because unless a lighter is in regular use the rubber seals on the valves perish and they have just been out of fashion a couple of years too long.
Thankfully 90% of Table lighters were made to a universal size so we can now make replacement inserts cheaper than you can repair a vintage lighter. And with these you get the added convenience of a piezo ignition so you don't have any fiddly flints to change.
The insert is supplied with a cage, which fits in the recess of the lighter base. The cage has wings, which are pushed out to hold the recess in place. It is however likely that the cage for your lighter is still fine so you may just dispose of this and the insert will fit snugly into the existing cage of your lighter.
