Sorry to say but all of these pipes have now sold out and as limited editions we cannot get hold of any more. We have left the description and imagery here for historical reference and interest,
Charles Rattray's Briar Pipes Charles Rattray's master blenders have an impeccable worldwide reputation for their unique tobacco blends and unrivalled character. You can be forgiven for not knowing that Rattray's also produce pipes as they were only released onto the general market in 2012. Their pipes were formerly reserved for exclusive sale in their Perth shop but they have answered many prayers by releasing these stunning pipes to retailers worldwide.
Charles Rattrays Pipe of the year 2015 Rattrays have pulled out all the stops for the 2015 and despite getting our hands on plenty of them we don't expect them to be on the shelves for long. The Straight Billiard is a classic and very favourable shape for many pipe smokers and Rattrays have produced a corker with this limited edition model with only 120 produced worldwide! The quality of Rattrays Briar is sublime and even better in their limited edition pipes. The Black version is a particularly beautiful finish which is becoming more and more popular. Something about the rich matte finish against the contrasting sterling silver band is something to admire and many will. A rare thing to see nowadays is a flat bottomed pipe so we welcome this feature on the 2015 with open arms, which allows the pipe to be rested in between lights. The bore of the pipe is generous making this one of those perfect pipes for a special occasion when you have the time for a good fill. The pipe has been finished with a hallmarked 925 silver band and cap before the addition of an army style mouthpiece.
Limited Edition (only 120 made) When Charles Rattrays do limited edition they really do Limit things. Each pipe is individually numbered and Rattrays have only produced 120 of each worldwide so grab yours quick to avoid disappointment, they won't be around for long.
9mm Absorbent Filter The Charles Rattray's Pipe of the year 2015's are designed for use with the any 9mm absorbent stem filters. The larger diameter allows more smoke to pass through the filter, with less restriction, which makes for a better draw compared to the 6mm filters. The highly absorbent filters have a very high surface area resulting in excellent absorption of the tar as the smoke passes through without affecting draw or flavour.
The pipes have a standard 9mm bore so can be used with any brand of 9mm filter if preferred. Alternatively the filter can be removed altogether for smokers who prefer a totally un-restricted full on smoke.
