Chacom Pipes (St Claude) Chacom is a family-owned company that can trace its pipe making heritage to 1825 before Briar was even discovered. They are based in St Claude which is widely recognized as the pipe-making capital of the world. They are one of the very few pipe manufacturers who make pipes from start to finish. From aging the Briar right through to hand finishing.
Chacom Deauville 9mm Pipes The Chacom Deauville 703 is a handsome straight billiard with classic stylings. The black sandblasted finish is paired beautifully with a shiny chrome spigot shank that transitions into a jet black acrylic stem. Named after the beautiful seaside resort in Normandy and taking inspiration from the traditional architecture, this elegant dress style pipe is a must for any gentleman about town's collection.
Filter Choice The Chacom Deauville pipes can be smoked with a condensing filter (included) or a 9mm absorbent filter. The larger diameter of a 9mm filter allows more smoke to pass through the filter, with less restriction, which makes for a better draw compared to the 6mm filters. The highly absorbent filters have a very high surface area resulting in excellent absorption of the tar as the smoke passes through without affecting draw or flavour. The pipes have a standard 9mm bore so can be used with any brand of 9mm filter if preferred. Alternatively, the filter can be removed altogether for smokers who prefer a totally un-restricted full smoke.
