BBB (Britains Best Briars) London Made Pipes One of a handful of pipe manufacturers that can truly call themselves London Made. BBB pipes have been around for well over a century in the Oppenheimer factory with their flagship brand Comoy's. We haven't seen any new releases from BBB for quite a while so it was a pleasant and much welcomed surprise to see a new range on the stand this year. The BBB Sprint is a new range from BBB who have remained very traditional over the years but this year they have added some subtle contemporary styling.

BBB Uncle Paul The BBB Uncle Paul is a smooth free standing pipe with a deep bore perfect for long sessions in front of the fire. The tall slanted billiard shaped bowl is made from specially selected briar that is given a deep orange stain and is finished with a brass coloured band and acrylic saddle stem with brass logo. The thick walls ensure a cool smoke.

Condensing Metal Filter The BBB Uncle Paul Briar pipes incorporate the re-usable metal filter system. The metal filter is suspended in the middle of a moisture trap, which forces the smoke to spiral round the cool metal before entering the stem. This causes condensation, which naturally removes tar and moisture deposits from the smoke trapping them in the shank for a cool pleasant smoking experience. Simply wipe clean in between smokes. The metal filter can be removed all together for smokers who prefer a totally un-restricted full bodied smoke.
