GBD Pipes:
GBD was established in 1850 in St Claude, which was regarded as the pipe capital of the world before a number of famous St Claude manufacturers moved to London grouped under the Oppenheimer name. This started the British revolution of the pipe world as soon London was considered the pipe capital of the world and London Briars were regarded as the finest pipes in the world. GBD has been waiting in the shadows for a number of years now as the availability of Briar has made it difficult to produce a reliable range of high grade series pipes. It was with great delight that we came across these new GBD freehand pipes made from sublime Plateaux briar which is hopefully a sign that we will start seeing more GBD in our racks. Or even better are they moving into the freehand market which is where The Black Swan Shoppe's Passion really lies.
