Don Florian Pipes Don Florian pipes are Italian-made smoking pipes handcrafted from high-quality materials. The pipes are made by Matteo Stefani, who started smoking pipes in 1992 while he was preparing for his law exams. The pipes are made from a variety of materials, including Briar and Wild olive wood, which is grown in a little sea rock and has natural veins and particularities that follow the essence of the wood and its characteristics. Large Plateau 5872 This beautifully crafted pipe made from briar wood, known for its durability and heat resistance. The bowl of the pipe is wide and has a rough texture on its top half, resembling tree bark. This is achieved by gently sandblasting the surface of the the briar to bring out the natural burr of the end grain and takes many years to master. This is wonderfully contrasted by the smooth polished outer that showcases the beautiful grain of the briar. The stem is dark brown and elegantly curved, providing an aesthetic balance to the natural appearance of the bowl. These stunning pipes match a quality usually found in pipes 10x their price and would be a welcome addition to any pipe collectors quiver.
